Oldham County Sprint Triathlon

Oldham County Parks and Recreation will be hosting its 23rd annual, USAT sanctioned Sprint Triathlon at Wendell Moore Park on Saturday, August 22, 2026. This is a great race for every level of triathlete.

• Swimming leg: 400 meters, time start, every 15 seconds, in the John W. Black Aquatic Center 25 meter pool.
• Bike course: 10 miles, on the Oldham County roads (non closed) with police at the major intersections. Bike course is a hilly course.
• Run leg: 2 Miles, on the park grounds includes an asphalt trail with a few grass sections.

All triathletes receive a finish metal at the finish line. Awards ceremony follows the race with free pizza. Awards will be given to the following: Overall Female, Overall Male and the top two finishers in a variety of age groups. All triathletes will receive a ticket for a chance to win one of several door prizes during the awards ceremony.

The race costs $75.00 per individual. All Non-USAT members must add an additional fee per participant to cover one-day insurance. Registration deadline is August 12th at 2:00 p.m. Maximum number of participates is 200 entries.
