Plainfield Salute the Troops 5k, Fun Run, & Soldier Stroll

Race Info

Run for fun, run to challenge yourself, or run in honor of a veteran. This fun race is hosted by Plainfield Recreation to honor and support our military troops and veterans. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the local VFW, American Legion, and Veteran's Coffeehouse.

The event begins at 9:15am with the National Anthem. The Fun Run will then take off at 9:30am. The Soldier Stroll and 5K will follow starting at 10:15am with the walkers to start in back of the runners. The route will begin and end at Plainfield High School and follow a route that moves through the athletic fields, Shepard Hill Elementary, and a small neighborhood. Both races are intended for all abilities and skill levels.

• Salute the Troops 5K Run: Price: $32.80 incl. $2.80 Fee. Time: 10:15AM EST - 12:00PM EST. Registration Opens January 1, 2026 at 5:00am EST.
• Salute the Troops Color Fun Run: Price: $16.90 incl. $1.90 Fee. Time: 9:30AM EST - 10:00AM EST. Registration Opens January 1, 2026 at 5:00am EST.
• Salute the Troops Soldier Stroll: Price: $11.60 incl. $1.60 Fee. Time: 10:15AM EST - 12:00PM EST. Registration Opens January 1, 2026 at 5:00am EST.
