The Putnam County Classic is a fun and festive race happening on July 4th, 2026. This iconic event supports the Mahopac Fire Department and features a beautiful 5.3-mile course around Lake Mahopac.
Participants can expect an early start with registration open now. With multiple pricing tiers—$35 until June 4, $40 until July 3, and $45 on race day—there's an opportunity for everyone to join in. Discounts are available for Taconic Road Runner members and for younger runners.
The race begins at 7:00 AM at 179 E. Lake Blvd, Mahopac, NY, with post-race festivities including awards, refreshments, and a view of the VFW’s Annual 4th of July boat parade at 10 AM.
