The Red Cedar Trail Races take place at Giant City State Park in Makanda, Illinois. The event includes a half marathon and a 5k race.

- Red Cedar Trail 1/2 Marathon: 13.1-mile half marathon. Prices: $50.00 - $60.00 - $75.00
- Red Cedar Trail 40k: 24.5-mile race. Prices: $65.00 - $75.00 - $85.00
The races are set in the Shawnee National Forest and utilize the Red Cedar Trail, offering a mix of single-track, gravel roads, and some paved sections. There will be aid stations along the course.
