River Rat Run

The River Rat Run takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Yankton, SD. This race offers stunning views of Lewis and Clark Lake and Lake Yankton. Runners will enjoy established paved trails that wind through wooded areas and along the lake shores. The event includes a Half Marathon, 10k Run, and 5k.

• Half Marathon: $50, 8:00AM - 11:00AM CDT
• 10k Run: $35, 8:25AM - 11:00AM CDT
• 5k: $25, 8:15AM - 11:00AM CDT

Race check-in and packet pickup:

• Ace Bike & Fitness, 2404 Broadway (recommended) - Friday, 4:30-7:30 PM
• Day of event at Gavin's Point Area picnic shelter, 1 hour before each race.

This is a chip-timed race with video and manual iPad entry backup. Prizes are awarded to overall male and female winners, and the top two male and female finishers in each age division (1-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-99). Finishing medals are given to all half-marathon runners, and shirts are provided to all runners.
