Run for a Pawpose 5K

Join us for the 2nd Annual Run for a Pawpose 5K, Kids Fun Run (ages 10 & Under), and Doggie Run, which will take place on the evening of Saturday, April 18th. The Run for a Pawpose 5K benefits the Pups With Purpose program through the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. This special event helps support a program that gives shelter dogs a second chance, while providing inmates with valuable life, social, and vocational skills. This event is open to walkers and runners of all ages, as well as dogs. All dogs in attendance must register in advance and proof of the dog's rabies vaccination must be submitted online. Registered dogs will receive a custom race doggie bandana. Human 5K and Fun Run race participants will receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal. No dogs will be permitted to participate in the Kids Fun Run.

Race Location: New Forsyth County Administration Building, 2449 Freedom Parkway, Cumming, GA 30041

Race Start Times:

• Kids Fun Run (no dogs): 7:45 PM
• 5K (for humans and dogs): 8:00 PM

Participants will receive a t-shirt (guaranteed if registered by April 10, 2026) and finisher medal.

Packet Pickup:

• At Big Peach Running Co. - Cumming (5485 Bethelview Road, Suite 430, Cumming, GA 30040) Friday, April 17th from 12 PM to 5 PM
• Race Day (Saturday) under the Big Peach tent beginning at 5:30pm

Awards will be given for Overall male/female, Overall masters male/female, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place age group awards in 5-year increments.

Events will be held Rain or Shine. Race officials may cancel, delay, or change the event if it is considered not safe for the public.
