This is an ultra trail race in the Fayetteville area featuring a 25k and 50k event at Carver's Creek State Park. The race offers a mix of known trails and adventurous new paths, designed as an old-school, runner-oriented event. Participants will experience parts of the state park not typically open to the public, passing by lakes and ponds on runnable technical trails. The 50k involves two 16-mile loops, with a cutoff for the second loop. The 25k can be completed at a more relaxed pace. Dogs and children under 14 are not permitted.

• Run Stubborn 25k: Price: $50.00 - $55.00, Time: 8:00 AM EDT, Registration Opens: February 3, 2026 at 5:43 PM EST, Ages: 14 - 99.
• Run Stubborn 50k: Price: $75.00 - $85.00, Time: 8:00 AM EDT, Registration Opens: February 3, 2026 at 5:43 PM EST, Ages: 14 - 99.

Course Information:

The loop is 16 miles and includes trails, firebreaks, boundaryline road, and routes with varied terrain such as sand, tree-lined paths, technical sections, potential water crossings, roots, and ruts. The course will be well-marked with signs and flagging. A GPX file will be provided before race day. There are two unmanned aid stations: one near mile 5 (water only) and one near mile 11 (water and light snacks). This is a cupless race, so participants must bring their own hydration equipment. Additional hydration and fuel will be available at the start/finish.
