Running Is For The Birds

This event takes place at Bolsa Chica State Beach on April 25, 2026 and includes various activities such as 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run/Walk, Kids Fun Run, 5K Plogging, 10K Plogging, Beach Clean up only, and Adaptive 5K. The event offers a family-friendly expo with demonstrations, educational activities, and opportunities to learn about the local wetlands and wildlife. Check-in begins at 7:00 AM at the basketball courts, with the 5K and 10K starting at 8:00 AM and the kids' fun run at 9:00 AM. Chip timing is available for the 5K and 10K runs and plogging events. Race t-shirts are guaranteed for pre-registrations by March 15. A participation medal is awarded at the finish line, and free parking is available before 8:00 AM.
