Come enjoy the rare opportunity to run on the Spokane Indian Reservation. Located about an hour away from the city of Spokane and about a half hour north of Davenport, the entirety of this race is held on the reservation. There is about 3,400 feet of gain and a majority comes in the first 8.5 miles. Start/finish is at the Anderson Ranch, which is owned and operated by the Spokane Tribe’s department of Natural resources. Runners will start out on the pavement for a short section before turning onto a gravel road for the opening miles. As runners begin gaining elevation the gravel road will turn off onto an old service road. The entire race will be on double track but these roads are uneven and runners still need to be careful on foot placement. Runners will continue to climb up until they reach the Westend Lookout Tower at the top of the mountain. On a clear day one can see as far as Airway Heights. Runners will then run the course back to where they started and finish.
