Join Us for Lynchburg's Only St. Patrick's Day Run – The St. Paddy's Day 5K!

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with an energetic 5K in downtown Lynchburg! The St. Paddy’s Day 5K, presented by Park View Community Mission, invites runners and walkers of all abilities to dress in festive green, enjoy lively camaraderie, all while giving back to our community. Proceeds benefit Park View Community Mission's Food for Thought program, helping to combat childhood food-insecurity across our region.

After crossing the finish line, join the post-race party at The Water Dog Restaurant, featuring live music starting at noon, adult beverages, and delicious food (weather permitting).

About Park View Community Mission's Food for Thought Program

Food for Thought provides food-insecure students with nourishing meals to sustain them over weekends, supporting academic and social success. Every participant in the St. Paddy’s Day 5K helps students thrive and grow.

5K Run & Walk

Date & Time: March 14, 2026, starting at 11:00 a.m.

Location: DPO Grille courtyard, 10 9th St., Lynchburg, VA 24504

Timing: Professionally timed by Riverside Runners. Open to ages 8 and up.

REGISTRATION

NEW YEAR'S PROMO (12/31 - 1/1/25): $30

Standard (1/2/25 - 3/12/26): $35

Pre Race & Race Day (3/13-3/14/2026): $40

12 & Under: $15 (does not include race shirt; however shirt can be purchased for an additional $10)

Family Discount: Save $5 per registration when signing up 4 or more participants.

Lynchburg Road Runners Club Member Discount: A $5.00 discount is available to current Lynchburg Road Runners Club members.

REFUND POLICY

Registration fees and purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable. Entries cannot be transferred to another participant or deferred to another event, or the same event but another year. If the "in-person" event is canceled for any reason, those participants will automatically be moved to the "virtual event".

Packet Pickup

Friday, March 13th, 12:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Riverside Runners (2480 Rivermont Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24503)

Race Day, March 14th, 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. at Riverfront Park (Start/Finish, DPO Grille courtyard, 10 9th Street, Lynchburg, VA 24504)

Parking

Downtown Lynchburg, available along Jefferson Street, nearby city lots, and parking garages at 9th and Commerce Streets.

AWARDS

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers, top Master Male & Female, as well as the top three in each age/gender category for the 5k run. (8-12, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over). All Finishers will receive a unique finisher medal to remember their accomplishment.

RACE POLICIES

Strollers: Walking participants with strollers may join, starting immediately after the main race. Please stay single-file for safety.

Headphones: For safety, headphones are not permitted.

Pets: For safety reasons, pets are not allowed on the course.
