This is the 17th Annual Rocco Laurie Memorial Staten Island Triathlon/Duathlon, a popular event honoring Rocco Laurie, a Vietnam veteran and NYPD officer. It's also a great race for those training for longer events.
Race Start Time and Location: 7:30 AM sharp at the transition area by the baseball field, west end of Father Capodanno Blvd.
Courses:
- Triathlon: Swim 400 meters, Bike 12 miles, Run 3 miles.
- Duathlon: Run 2 miles, Bike 12 miles, Run 3 miles.
Volunteer: Needed from 5:00 am to 11 am. Report to Race Directors George or Hunter.
The race is not USAT certified or sanctioned, so a USAT racing license isn't required.
