About The Mother Fricker

The Mother Fricker was created as a running event for all runners, emphasizing camaraderie and the simple joy of running. It is an untimed event with no registration fees or medals. Participants are encouraged to bring retired running shoes for charity and canned goods for the local food bank.

The Loops

The event features four separate loops, which can be completed individually or combined to form 'The Mother Fricker - 20 miles'. Each loop starts and ends at the Lower Frick Park Play Area.

• 8 mile (Alpha): Starts at 8:00 AM
• 6 mile (Beta): Starts at 10:00 AM
• 4 mile (Gamma): Starts at 11:30 AM
• 2 mile (Delta): Starts at 12:30 PM

Location and Parking

All loops begin and end at the Lower Frick Park Play Area (the soccer field) in Pittsburgh, PA. A parking lot is available at the event location, and participants are advised to arrive early. Additional parking is available at the End of Braddock Trail (0.6 mile), Biddle Parking Lot (0.7 mile), and Frick Park Environmental Center (1 mile).

Donations

There is no registration fee. In the spirit of the original event, participants are asked to bring at least one pair of retired running shoes to benefit PICKUP PLEASE charities. Extra charitable individuals are also encouraged to bring canned goods for The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
