The Traffic Jam'in 5K Run, 5K Walk, and 1 Mile Family Fun Run is an evening race on Friday, July 10th, 2026, at Grass Lake Community Events Park in Grass Lake, MI. The event includes a flat, scenic 5k run and 5k walk around the lake and neighborhood, with a 1 Mile Family Fun Run. Finish strong in front of the community Events Park Pavilion with live music. A water station is at the halfway mark, with refreshments and an award ceremony following the 5K. Music will be on the course.

Start Times:
5K Run and 5K Walk: 7:30 PM EDT
1 Mile Family Fun Run: 7:00 PM EDT

Pricing:
5k run, 5k walk and Virtual 5k: Special New Years Day pricing $20 (1/1 to 1/15), then $25 (until 5/10), $30 (5/11 to 7/05), $35 (7/06 to 7/10).
1 mile family fun run: $5

Medals and a complimentary beverage are provided for all 5K finishers. Awards will be given to top finishers in various age groups for both the 5k Run and 5k Walk. Tech style t-shirts are available for participants, guaranteed for registrations received by June 19th.

Packet Pickup:
Thursday, July 9th: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Village of Grass Lake offices, 119 N. Lake Street, Grass Lake, MI 49240.
Race Day, Friday, July 10th: 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM at the starting area.

There is no on-site race day registration. Online registration remains open until 6:30 PM on Friday, July 10th.

Team Discount: Form a team of 4 or more to receive a $5 per person discount.

Note: No dogs are permitted at this event, except for service dogs.

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
