WALK, WIGGLE, WAG & 5K RUN FOR THE CAPE CORAL ANIMAL SHELTER - 2026

This premier family and pet-friendly event aims to raise vital funds for the Cape Coral Animal Shelter, helping homeless and neglected animals find loving homes. The day includes a Mutt Strutt around the Shelter property and a 5K Route around the neighborhood, accompanied by music, food trucks, and vendors. All registered participants receive a fabulous event shirt.

The event features both a Mutt Strutt and a 5K timed run. Participants can create a pack and gather sponsors to raise donations for CCAS.

Event Details:

• Date: Saturday, March 21st, 2026
• Location: Cape Coral Animal Shelter, Cape Coral, FL
• Pet Friendly: Dogs are welcome with standard leashes. Retractable leashes, pronged/choke chain collars are not permitted. Please be prepared to clean up after your pet.

Schedule:

• Runner 5K Start: 8:00 AM EDT
• Runner Awards Presentation: 9:00 AM EDT
• 1 Mile Fun Walk Start: 9:30 AM EDT

Awards:

• 5K Run: Placement medals by age group and M/F category for human runners. Specialty prize baskets for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place for 5K Dog Runner Teams.
