The Watershed Endurance 6Hr/3Hr Run is an unique event designed to challenge an individual’s physical abilities. Hosted by Final Lap Racing, it consists of a 3-hour and 6-hour timed run on a 1.01-mile path around the Watershed Nature Center. Participants can run, jog, walk, or take breaks between loops, aiming to complete as many miles as possible within the time limit. The event is limited to 120 participants. Both distances will conclude at midnight, and participants are required to wear a headlamp, waist lamp, or carry a light after sunset.
In-person registration will be available during both packet pickup hours.
Awards will be given to Male & Female Overall winners in both races, Top 2 Male & Female age group winners (29 & under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+), and Top Male/Female Ruck division winners in both races. Ruck division requires a minimum weight of 20lbs for females and 30lbs for men, with packs weighed on race day. Awards are based on the number of loops completed and the fastest finish time within the time limit.
An aid station tent will be set up near the Welcome Center, supplied with water, electrolyte drink, energy gels, fruit, snacks, and first aid. Participants are encouraged to provide their own aid. This is a CUP-FREE event to minimize waste. Restrooms will be available inside the Welcome Center and in the parking lot near the basketball/sand volleyball courts. Grills or open flames are not permitted on the property.
The course is a 1.01-mile loop on a walking path leading to the Welcome Center. The route surface is 50% crushed limestone and 50% pavement. The course direction changes annually: clockwise in even years and counter-clockwise in odd years.
Results will be posted live during the event on the RunSignUp event page and on UltraSignUp within 24 hours of the event's conclusion. Live race day results are provided by Final Lap Racing.
Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Watershed Nature Center, Nature Preserve Committee, supporting their goals of reconnecting people with nature, protecting lands and waters, and promoting healthy communities.
