YWCA Minneapolis Women's Triathlon
Join us in celebrating the strength of all women at the 2026 YWCA Women’s Triathlon. We welcome all women and non-binary people who identify with womanhood to challenge themselves to a swim, bike and run around Lake Nokomis. The event course is also para-friendly for adaptive athletes, and some scholarships are available for first-time athletes. All racers ages 11 and up are welcome to participate in the SuperSprint and ages 14+ in the Sprint categories.

Prices are inclusive of mandatory charges, items, and fees.
Race Champion Experience
Support the mission of YWCA Minneapolis and get a VIP race experience! Benefits include:
- VIP service at packet pick up, chip pick up, and bag check.
- Option to check your own backpack or gear bag.
- Luxury trailer bathroom with running water and air conditioning.
- Option to bring your bike on Saturday and store it in a secure trailer.
- Free race day packet pick up (normally $25).
- Choose your own start time.
- Post-race comfort with shower tents and camp chairs.
Courses and Distances
- Sprint Distance - Individual: 500-yard swim, 15.5-mile bike course, 5k run/walk.
- Sprint Distance - Century Team: Ages must add up to 100 or more.
- Sprint Distance - Buddy Group: 2 or more people racing together.
- Sprint Distance - Family Team of 2: For sisters, spouses, or mother-daughter.
- Sprint Distance - Relay: 2 or 3 members per team, one person per leg.
- Super Sprint Distance - Individual: 200-yard swim, 7.3-mile bike course, 1-mile run/walk.
- Super Sprint Distance - Buddy Group: 2 or more people racing together.
Race Schedule Highlights
- August 9, 2026: Race Day
- 5:45 AM: Chip pick up and Transition area opens
- 7:45 AM: Transition area closes
- 8:10 AM: Race starts!
- ~12:00 PM: Gratitude Ceremony, awards, and door prizes
- 1:00 PM: Event concludes
Important Information
- Registration opens August 10, 2025.
- No refunds, but options for insurance, transfers, or donations are available.
- Scholarship applications open January 1st and are due March 1st.
- Safety rules include mandatory bike helmets, no drafting, and no music/earbuds.
