District Running Collective (DRC)

District Running Collective (DRC) was founded in 2013 in Washington, USA by Taylor, Chaz, Matt Green, and Carlin. They recognized the need for a running group that was open to and welcomed all levels of runners. DRC hosted their very first event, the Midnight on Mars 5K, in May 2013. They have since hosted several other special events and themed 5K races. DRC began hosting weekly #runwithus runs out of The Coupe in Columbia Heights. From January until November 2014, more than 700 runners came out to use the streets of DC as their course. DRC aims to positively impact DC through running and build a community of runners that reflects the city's diversity. They strive to make running feel less like a chore, but a lifestyle.
