Mark your calendars for the 13th annual Norma E. Boyd 5K Race for Education, taking place on Sunday, September 20, 2026. This event, hosted by the Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® in collaboration with the Pearl and Ivy Educational Foundation, Inc. (PIEF), honors the 40th anniversary of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® founder Norma E. Boyd’s passing. Since 2013, the Norma E. Boyd 5K Race for Education has raised over $118,000, directly supporting PIEF's mission to provide college scholarships for District of Columbia high school students.

Norma E. Boyd 5K Race for Education: Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 8:00 AM EDT - 10:00 AM EDT.
A Virtual 5K option is also available.

Packet Pick-up

Saturday, September 19, 2026: At the Health and Wellness Expo from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 20, 2026 (Race Day): Between 6:45 a.m. and 7:45 a.m., prior to the race start. Late arrivals will not be permitted on the course.
