18th Annual FBC Jefferson Turkey Can Run

Location: First Baptist Church Jefferson, 246 Washington St., Jefferson, GA 30549

Join us for a special Thanksgiving Day 5k Race through Historic Downtown Jefferson benefiting the FBC Jefferson Food Bank! The Food Bank serves hundreds of Jackson County families in need every year. This is a qualifying race for the AJC Peachtree Road Race and the course is USA Track and Field Certified.

Race Details

• 5K Run/Walk
• Price: $15.00 plus 15 canned good items.
• Registration Opens: February 27, 2026 at 1:00pm EST
• Race Start Time: 8:00 AM EST
• Packet Pickup: Starts at 7:00 AM in the Education Building.
• Early Bird Entry (by November 20): Guarantees a long sleeve T-shirt.
• Late/Race Day Registration: $15.00 and 15 canned good items. Shirts not guaranteed.

Donations

All proceeds go directly to benefit the FBC Jefferson Food Bank. Suggested canned items include tuna, chicken, green beans, corn, peas, jelly, peanut butter, and any non-perishable food items.

Awards

Awards will be given to the Top Male & Female, Masters, Grand Masters, Seniors, and the Top 3 Male/Female in various age groups.

Sponsorships

Various sponsorship levels are available, from Presenting Sponsor ($300+) to Silver Level ($50-$99), with benefits including logo placement on advertising and T-shirts. Contact [email protected] for more information.

Packet Pickup Schedule

• Monday, November 23: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
• Tuesday, November 24: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
• Wednesday, November 25: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
• All pickups at FBC Jefferson fellowship hall.

Parking Information

Parking is available at Jefferson High School (575 Washington Street), which is within walking distance. No shuttle service will be provided.
