2025 Hale to Hale (42km)

Event Details

The Giant Walk - Hale to Hale (42km) takes place on either 10th or 11th May 2025. It is a one-day walking challenge organized by Regenesis Events CIC.

Course Outline

The starting point is by Hale Lighthouse, navigating through various scenic areas including:

• The village of Hale
• The Giant Childe of Hale statue
• Mersey Way for the waterside stretch
• Ship Canal
• The sheltered Trans-pennine trail
• Ending at the Millennium Clock in Hale

There are rest stops planned along the way, including a lunch stop in Stockton on Heath.

Support

Walkers will have access to a support coach for storing belongings and transportation back to the start area after completing the walk. The coach will also meet walkers several times throughout the day.

Participation

Walkers should aim to complete the event in 9-10 hours, including rest stops. A new option, the Stockton Half, allows walkers to participate in a half marathon in the afternoon.

This is a charitable event, and participants are encouraged to fundraise for a UK charity of their choice. A medical questionnaire will be circulated closer to the event date.
