Welcome to Jasper! Run the majestic Canadian Rockies with your choice of a 21k, 10K, 5K, or 1k!

Experience one of Canada’s most breathtaking running events. With multiple distances to choose from, there’s no excuse not to lace up and feel those endorphins flow beneath Jasper’s towering peaks. Now in its ninth year, the Jasper Canadian Rockies Half Marathon invites runners to enjoy a scenic, well-maintained course through the heart of Jasper National Park. It’s your chance to challenge yourself, soak in the Rockies’ beauty, and help support the community we love.

Rebuilding & Running for a Cause
Following the devastating 2024 wildfires, we’re proud to continue supporting Jasper’s recovery and rebuilding efforts. Every registration helps strengthen the community — with proceeds directly benefiting local causes and initiatives.

Eligibility & Age Requirements

• Half Marathon: 14 years of age or older by December 31, 2026.
• 10 K: 12 years of age or older.
• Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a consent statement.

Parks Canada and Wildlife Considerations

Registration and course approval are subject to final authorization by Parks Canada. Wildlife activity may occur on or near the course. Organizers reserve the right to delay, hold, alter, or cancel the event as required under the Event Wildlife Interaction Response Plan. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.

Air Quality & Wildfire Smoke Protocol

Air quality is monitored daily. Organizers reserve the right to delay, shorten, modify, or cancel the event if conditions reach High to Very High Risk (AQHI 7 or above) levels. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.

Entry Policies

Entries are Non-Refundable, Non-Transferable, and Non-Deferrable. Additional insurance may be purchased during registration.

Force Majeure & Event Cancellation Policy

In case of circumstances beyond the organizer’s control (wildfire, poor air quality, wildlife, severe weather, etc.), the event may be modified, shortened, delayed, or cancelled. If cancelled prior to race day due to wildfire smoke (AQHI 7 or higher), government restrictions, or other uncontrollable factors, organizers may offer free entry into the Virtual Event for 2026 or a credit of up to 40% of the paid entry fee toward the 2027 event.
