About the Event

Event Details

The 2026 Tour de Fronds is a premier cycling event set in Southern Oregon’s beautiful Coast Range, traversing the Glendale/Powers Bicycle Recreation Area. Participants can choose from five scenic rides ranging from 30 to 117 miles, featuring views of old-growth forests, wildflowers, waterfalls, rivers, streams, and mountain vistas. The routes are primarily on paved Forest Service and BLM roads, with some chip-seal sections; 25C to 32C tires are recommended for comfort. The event is fully supported, including a continental breakfast at check-in, snacks and beverages at rest stops, and a post-ride meal.

Waitlist: For the 2025 event, a waitlist is available via a provided Google Forms link. For the 2026 event, mark calendars for March 1, 2026, and register early.

Registration: Online registration is open until June 1st at 11:59 PM or until capacity is reached. Early registration is crucial due to the remote location. Refund policies are in place: 75% up to June 1st, 50% after June 1st, with no refund for no-shows. Ride changes incur a $30 fee plus cost difference.

Friday Night: A BBQ Dinner is available for $15, with vegetarian options. Check-in and packets will also be available at the Friday night dinner.

Start: All rides start at Powers County Park. Ride check-in is available from 6:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Saturday. Pre-ride refreshments are available from 6:00 AM. Parking is available and monitored.

En Route: Rest stops with snacks and drinks are provided, corresponding to ride endpoints. SAG vehicles with water will monitor routes.

Finish: A post-ride meal is included in registration fees and served at Ross Hall in Powers from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Bicycles can be parked outside.

Sunday Morning: A Pancake Breakfast is available for $10, sponsored by the Powers Lions Club.

Important Notes: The route is backcountry and remote. Cycling with a partner and limiting speed on descents is recommended. The Active.com course map only shows the 30-mile route; maps for other routes are available at www.tourdefronds.com.
