The race is held at Rowden Park. We are excited to invite you to our 2nd Annual 5K 4 the Kidz run/walk/virtual event, which will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Rowden Park and is open to all ages, abilities and fitness levels. We aim to make a significant difference in the lives of the children in our community. Enjoy the trail at Rowden Park which takes you by the future location of our current Legacy Project - the Kiwanis Inclusive Playground - a universally accessible, inclusive, and nature-based recreational play space. The 5K course will start near the pavilion at Rowden Park. You will travel along the 1-mile trail around the park and continue outside the park at Pine Street through the Lapeer downtown area before reentering Rowden Park at Pine Street to complete the loop and finish near the pavilion. Parking will be available at Rowden Park and in the designated parking lots along M-24 (N. Lapeer Road).

PRICING & REGISTRATION - Run/Walk/Virtual

All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Kiwanis Inclusive Playground.

• Adults $35 (15 yrs and older) ($40 day of event)
• Kids $20 (14 yrs and younger) ($25 day of event)

WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH REGISTRATION:

• Packet with bib number, pins and swag
• Event t-shirt
• Finisher medal
• After race refreshments and snacks
• Race results within minutes of finishing and candid photos embedded to your bib number the following week.
• Opportunity for overall and age group awards in run & walk categories. Virtual runners will not be eligible for overall timed awards.

PACKET PICKUP & LATE REGISTRATION

Race Day Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Rowden Park pavilion beginning at 7:30am.

RACE TIMING & PHOTOS

Race timing will be run by Newton Timing. All individuals running will start at 9:00am sharp, and walkers will follow at 9:05am. Start and finish lines will be at the same place. Race results will be available within minutes of finishing and candid photos will be embedded in your bib number the following week.
