6th Annual Stride for Pride

Date: Sunday, June 7, 2026

Location: Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, Olive St, Scranton, PA 18508

Join us for the 6th Annual Stride for Pride 5K Run in partnership with Action Together NEPA. The race takes place on the beautiful Lackawanna River Heritage Trail. A Virtual 5K option is also available, allowing participants to run on Friday or Saturday and submit results by Monday, June 8th.

This is a family-friendly event. Children under 10 accompanied by a registered adult or guardian can participate for free (T-shirts and medals not guaranteed for free participants). Pets are allowed on the trailhead and pavilion if leashed, but must not be on the course during the event.

About Queer NEPA:

Queer NEPA is an LGBTQIA+ organization dedicated to culture, community, and justice in Northeastern Pennsylvania. They focus on nonviolent activism, equality, community building, gender equity, reproductive justice, and the abolition of poverty, using arts and advocacy to create a safe and uplifting space.

Event Timeline:

• 8:00 AM: Packet Pick up
• 9:00 AM: Race Starts
• Awards to follow after.

Parking is available across the street where Scranton Running Co is located.

Awards:

Awards will be given in Male, Female, and Non-Binary gender categories, with sub-divisions by age groups (0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+).

Event Shirts:

Event shirts are guaranteed to runners registered by May 17th. Registrations after this date will receive shirts while supplies last.
