It’s time to suit up, lace up, and unleash your inner SUPERHERO—for animals in need! 🐾💪Superhero Sprint – Capes encouraged Join the Joplin Humane Society on Saturday, May 2, 2026, for the 6th Annual Fast & the Furriest, Joplin Drift 5K/1M, happening at the beautiful King Jack Park in Webb City. Whether you’re a seasoned speedster, a casual crusader, or a dog-loving sidekick, this event is for animal lovers and athletes of all kinds!

• Fast & the Furriest – Joplin Drift 5K (3.1 miles) Race Start: 8:00 AM Entry Fee: $30 Includes: Finishers Award, Official Race Bib, Finishing awards for the first 50 dogs. Awards for Top Overall Male & Female Finishers, Top 3 Owner/Dog Teams, and Top 3 Male & Female in each age group.
• The Fuzzy Fun Walk – 1 Mile A heroic group walk around the lake! Walk Start: 8:30 AM Entry Fee: $20 Includes: Finishing awards for the first 50 dogs, 1-mile fun walk with or without your leashed canine companion. Baby joggers & strollers welcome.
• Virtual 5K Entry Fee: $35 Run or walk anytime, anywhere—be a hero on your own schedule! Includes finisher gift (mailed the week after the race).

Race Day Shirt: Add one at registration for $15 (+$3 for sizes 2XL–3XL). Must order by April 17th.

Post-Race Celebration: Music, Games, Food Truck, Official race photos by Stewart Kay Photography.

Run for a Cause: 100% of proceeds support the Joplin Humane Society.

Well-socialized dogs on standard leashes are welcome and encouraged (NO retractable leashes).
