About the Event

The inaugural Akron Trail Marathon starts downtown and showcases the Metro Parks. Runners will experience a quick out & back into the city before heading to Summit Metro Parks. The course includes a beautiful hilly section of the Towpath Trail, historical locks, the Mustill Store, and waterfalls. The marathon route is being reworked to include more trail elements, Schumacher trail, the overlook, and Oxbow trail.

Water Stops

Marathon route: 6-8 water stops. Half marathon route: 3-4 water stops. 10k route: 1 water stop. Water & sports drink, and gels will be available at water stops. Snacks for the full and half at the halfway aid station. It is advised to carry a handheld water bottle due to potential heat and humidity in mid-July. Fewer water stops than a road course; please be prepared.

Awards

Awards for first and second overall male and female in each distance. Masters male and female awards in each distance. First in age group awards male and female each distance. Medals for all finishers.

Pricing

Marathon: $70 until 2/28/25, $80 until 4/30/25, $90 after 4/30/25 +Ultrasignup fee

Half marathon: $50 until 2/28/25, $60 until 4/30/25, $70 after 4/30/25 +Ultrasignup fee

10k: $40 until 2/28/25, $50 until 4/30/25, $60 after 4/30/25 +Ultrasignup fee

Price includes medal & t-shirt (cut off for guaranteed t-shirt size is June 14).

Registration will open approximately 1/10/2025.
