Awesome 80s Summer Solstice Beach Run presented by Moe Moon's

Location: Plyler Park, Myrtle Beach, SC

Join us for the Awesome 80s Summer Solstice Beach Run presented by Moe Moon's! This unique race features the beauty of Myrtle Beach and takes advantage of the beginning of summer and the longest day of sunlight! Participants will begin on the sand at Plyler Park and head north for approx 1/2 mile and then return. Once your race is complete, join us at Plyer Park for music, food, and fun! Race participants will receive a hotdog, chips, and soda/water compliments of Moe Moon's! Bring your beach towel, dress up in your favorite 80s costume, and let's have a picnic together! This is a perfect event for your family to kickstart the summer season by enjoying the beauty of Myrtle Beach at sunset and get active at the same time!

This is an un-timed event and no overall or age group awards will be given. A timing clock will be posted at the finish. All participants dressed in 80s attire will be entered into a costume raffle prize drawing!

Race Info:

• Race will begin and end on the sand regardless of the tide.
• Begin on the beach adjacent to Plyler Park and head north.
• Return to finish line on the beach.
• Course monitors will be along the course to provide direction.
• Animals are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification.
• Baby joggers, baby strollers, skate boards, roller blades, unauthorized bicycles or any other wheeled device are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification.

Packet Pickup:

• Saturday, June 20 from 4:30-6:00pm at Native Sons (1519 Executive Avenue, MB)
• Sunday, June 21 from 6:00pm-6:45pm at Plyler Park (1100 N Ocean Blvd, MB)

Race Swag:

• Participant Bib
• Participant Shirt (while supplies last)
• Participant Medal

Registration:

• Registration is only available online.
• Registration closes Sunday, June 21 @5:30pm.

Parking: Metered parking available adjacent to Ocean Blvd. Lanier Paid Parking garage on 9th Avenue N/Hwy 17 Business.

Restrooms: Public restrooms are across the street from Plyler Park/Skywheel.
