Ready, Set… WOOF! 🐾 Join us at Patton Park on Saturday, August 1 for the 4th Annual Bark & Bolt Races, presented by Hunter Subaru, in Hendersonville. This family and pup-friendly morning celebration features something for everyone — two-legged and four-legged alike.

Choose from the Bark & Bolt 5K or One Mile, and have the option to join in the crowd-favorite 100-Meter Paw Pursuit. New for 2026, all registered participants will earn a Bark & Bolt finisher medal, making this year’s event extra special!

After the races, stick around for the Top Dog Contest and Bark in the Park Dog Fair, featuring local, pet-friendly vendors and community partners. We’re proud to partner with Blue Ridge Humane Society, helping support rescue efforts and connect more pups with loving homes.

Discounted pricing for kids 12 and under!

We love seeing families get active together! All participants ages 12 and under can register for the 5k for just $25 through July 26th. After that time, the price increases to $30 until race day. (No code needed—the discount is automatically applied at checkout!)

Event Swag

Register before July 5th at midnight and get a FREE short sleeve, custom Bark & Bolt shirt, available in Adult & Youth sizes, with your registration! Beginning July 6th, shirts will only be available in limited sizes and quantities for $25. All registered participants will receive a custom commemorative finisher medal that SPINS!

Packet Pickup

Schedule: Saturday, August 1st: 7:00am - 8:30am at Patton Park (1730 Asheville Hwy, Hendersonville, NC 28792), under the iDaph Tent, adjacent to the Bark in the Park Dog Fair near the Start/Finish line. Look for the signs and banners.

Bark in the Park Dog Fair

We’re ecstatic to be hosting the Bark in the Park Dog Fair alongside the Bark & Bolt event, and you are woofingly welcome to join us! The fair will be located in the field at Patton Park, near the Start/Finish Line and will run from 7:00am to 11:00am. With so many pup-sitively pet-friendly vendors, this is sure to be a tail-wagging event for all.

Rules for Safety

These guidelines MUST be followed to ensure the safety of all participants and their furry friends. Please only bring dog-friendly pets. This event is for well-behaved humans and dogs only! If your Fido is not friendly please leave him/her at home. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Please refrain from bringing retractable leashes as they are a tripping hazard. Dog Owners are 100% liable for the actions of their dogs while attending the event and in the designated areas of the start/finish area. Race officials have sole discretion to ask a participant to leave the event with their dog at any time. There will be no refunds in this case. All dogs should be up-to-date on vaccines including the rabies vaccine. Please bring your own poop bags and clean up after pets. We will provide some dog bowls and dog swimming pools for drinking/wading. However, we suggest you bring your own dog bowls or purchase one from a vendor at the event.
