About the Event
Beast of Big Creek - August 1 - 2, 2026
Join us in Hoodsport, Washington on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula for a real mountain race to the summit of magnificent Mt. Ellinor in the Olympic Mountains. This is Beast of Big Creek.
The Beast of Big Creek Skyrace is part of the Skyrunner World Series and is the tour's only stop in all of North America. It is also a qualifying race in the Vert Running Series by Mountain Running Races, and runners will continue to earn their UTMB Index.
Courses Offered:
- Skyrace 22K: 22km | 14 miles, with over 5,300ft of climbing to the summit of Mt. Ellinor.
- Forest Loop: 8km | 5 miles, with 1,200 ft of climbing through a lush PNW rain forest.
Start and finish for both races is at Big Creek Campground. Limited camping will be available for the weekend.
