Join us for the Bright Ideas 5K & 1 Mile, a community run in historic downtown Conway benefiting innovative classroom-based educational projects through Horry Electric Cooperative’s Bright Ideas Grant Program. This race is designed to bring our community together to support teachers, students, and creative learning across Horry County.

Runners and walkers of all experience levels are welcome!

Race Purpose

The Bright Ideas Grant Program provides funding for innovative, classroom-based educational projects that fall outside normal public and private school funding. Grants are available to all disciplines for grades K–12 throughout Horry County, helping educators turn creative ideas into impactful learning experiences. Your participation helps support:

• Creative classroom projects
• Innovative teaching methods
• Hands-on learning opportunities
• Stronger schools and brighter futures

• Flat, scenic 5K course through downtown Conway
• Police and course support on site
