Byron Fire/EMS 5K Run & Walk

Event Details

Join the Byron Fire/EMS for their annual 5K Run & Walk on July 25, 2026. The event kicks off with the 50 Yard Kids Dash at 8:00 AM EDT, followed by the 5K Run and Walk 5K at 8:30 AM EDT. All participants can enjoy a pancake breakfast served at the Firehall, located a short distance from the finish line. The first 50 registrations will receive a race t-shirt.

Courses

• 5K Run: Open to ages 8-99.
• Walk 5K: Open to ages 1-10.
• 50 Yard Kids Dash: Open to ages 10 and under.

The course is USATF Certified (NY18105KL) and features paved roads mixed with a cinder/gravel rail trail. A water stop will be available at the 2-mile mark.

Registration & Packet Pickup

Online registration closes July 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM EDT. In-person registration and packet pickup will be available on Saturday, July 25th, from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM. The cost for in-person registration is $30.

Awards

Awards will be given to the Top Overall Male/Female finishers, with cookie medals for 1st and 2nd place in various age categories: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Byron Fire Department.
