Description

Cape Fear 24 Hour endurance run is held on a USATF certified/sanctioned, 0.59-mile asphalt paved loop. The trail surrounds Lillington's Parks and Recreation baseball fields. Most of the trail is flat, except for one small incline. There is plenty of parking and space to set up a site close to your car. Tents will be allowed during the event, but no open-air fires will be allowed. The restrooms are just a few steps off the course. When it gets dark, the Town of Lillington will turn on the park lights so a headlamp will not be necessary. This course will offer you the opportunity to run as far or as little as you want with maximum support. Clockwork Race Timing will provide electronic timing. There will be one, fully stocked aid station with all the typical ultra-buffet foods. Water, Gatorade, and assorted soft drinks will be available. Hamburgers, hotdogs, pizzas and soups will be available later in the day. We love runners who wear costumes! A special award will be given to the participant who runs the most miles in a costume. Please register by September 1st to be guaranteed a shirt. No deferrals, transfers, or refunds offered.
