Event Description:

This event offers something for everyone, from the 53K ultra for experienced trail racers to shorter distances for intermediate runners and a Kid's Dash. All races are set high in the Sacramento Mountains near Cloudcroft, New Mexico, at approximately 8,600 feet elevation. The courses are primarily out-and-back on the historic Rim Trail (T105), featuring shaded single-track and rail-bed with views of the Tularosa Basin.

Sacramento Mountains Ultra Series:

The Cloudcroft Ultra 53K is the second event in the inaugural Sacramento Mountains Ultra Series, featuring three distinct events based out of Cloudcroft.

Course Information:

The 53K, 9.5 mile, and 4.75 mile races are out-and-back on the Rim Trail (T105). The 53K includes a "lollipop" loop at the turnaround. All races start and finish at the Pavilion in Zenith Park. The 1 mile Kid’s Dash loops around Zenith Park.

Aid Stations & Crew Access:

The 53K has six aid stations. Drop bags are permitted for the 53K at two locations. The 9.5 mile has two aid stations. Crew access is available at specific aid stations for the 53K.

Registration & Pricing:

Guaranteed shirt sizes require early registration. Finisher medals and custom designed shirts are awarded.
