Collegiate Peaks Trail Run - 36th Anniversary

Join us for the 36th anniversary of the Collegiate Peaks Trail Run in Buena Vista, Colorado. This iconic event celebrates over three decades of challenging races and a vibrant community. Whether you're a seasoned participant or a first-time runner, your involvement is key to making this milestone memorable.

The race offers two distance options: 25 miles and 50 miles. Established in 1991, the course provides a significant challenge of physical and mental stamina. Beginning and ending near the Arkansas River, the course primarily follows single-track and jeep trails along part of the old historic Midland Railroad, as well as through other scenic areas north and east of town. Much of the course runs through lands managed by the National Forest Service and/or Bureau of Land Management.

The 25-milers complete the loop once (clockwise), and the 50-milers complete it twice (the second time counterclockwise). The course starts at nearly 8,000 feet above sea level and features over 3,500 feet in elevation gain/drop per loop.
