The Crimson River Run (formerly known as the Redz River Run) is back with a new name, a great route, and exciting prizes! Join us for the 5th Annual 5k and 10k Race/Walk, hosted by the Baton Rouge Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. This event will take place on March 7th, 2026, benefiting several local charities and organizations.

This USATF certified route will be on the Southern University and A&M College Campus.

Registration Details:

• Early Registration (Oct 1-Nov 30): 5k $20 / 10k $20
• Regular Registration (Dec 1 – Jan 31): 5k $25 / 10k $25
• Late Registration (Feb 1 - Mar 6): 5k $30/10k $30
• Day of Race (on site registration) March 7: 5k/10k $35.00

Participants registering before February 20th will receive a T-shirt and a finisher's medal. T-shirts are not guaranteed if you register after February 20th.

Dear Dash: A brisk 20-yard “walk” to the race's starting line, exclusively for participants aged 60 or older. The winner becomes the official race starter.

Prizes:

• The overall adult male and female winners of the 5k and 10k races will each receive a $125.00 Varsity Sports gift card.
• The overall youth male and female 5k winners will receive a $100.00 Varsity Sports gift card.
• Place Awards and other prizes will be given for the following categories: Overall Top Male and Female, and Top 3 male and female runners by age category (0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+).

Groups are welcomed to participate. We also have a virtual option for both races.

Following the race, everyone is invited to the Community Health and Economic Summit, featuring a variety of health screenings and numerous local small business vendors.
