David Bruce Race for the Record & Predict a Mile

The David Bruce Race for the Record includes two races: the Race for the Record followed by the Predict a Mile (PAM), both events covering one mile.

Race Day Logistics

Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026

Registration & Bib Pick-Up: 6:30-7:30 a.m. at Highland Park (900 Defenbaugh St, Kokomo, IN 46902)

Race for the Record

Start Time: 8 a.m.

Race Fee: $5

Distance: 1 Mile

Description: A no-frills one mile run or walk to attempt to set a CKRR Age Group record! If a participant signs up as a runner, they may run or walk; if registered as a walker, they must walk the entire event. CKRR Points: Yes.

Predict a Mile

Start Time: approximately 8:45 a.m. (dependent on finish time of the Race for the Record)

Race Fee: Free

Distance: 1 Mile

Description: Participants will predict their one mile finish time during bib pickup. No technology is allowed. The participant with the finish time closest to their predicted time wins! CKRR Points: No.
