Date & Time: Sunday, October 25, 2026. Race day registration and packet pick up from 6:30 am - 7:30 am. Kids Races begin at 8:05 am. Day of the Dead 5k/10k race begins at 8:30 am. Awards ceremony and costume contest at 9:30 am.

Location: Wild Runners Fair Oaks, 10149 Fair Oaks Blvd, Fair Oaks, CA 95628 US

Theme: Remembering Our Best Friends - celebrating the legacy and memory of beloved ancestors and paw friends, embracing the essence of Día de los Muertos.

Attire: Participants are encouraged to dress in Día de los Muertos outfits, spooky costumes, or wear the race shirt.

• Calaveritas Run: 800m, $25.00

5k Course Details:

The race starts with a 0.5-mile downhill through Old Fair Oaks Village and over the bridge, followed by a 3.2-mile out-and-back path along the American River Trail towards Bannister Park. The course is on paved roads and trails and concludes with an approximate half-mile ascent to the finish line.

Awards & Age Divisions:

Prizes for overall male and female winners, top three finishers in each age division, and top boy and girl finishers in kids' races. Costume contest prizes also awarded.

Rules & Guidelines:

• Bib numbers must be worn on the front and be visible.
• No unregistered runners, walkers, or pacers.
• Headphones discouraged.
• No bicycles.
• Dogs are welcome in the 5k race (on leash, with waiver).
• Strollers are welcome.
• Walkers/runners of all abilities are welcome.
• Shirts not guaranteed for late registration.
• No refunds.
