Get ready for the "Day of the Dead Half Marathon: Texas Parks Edition"! This event offers a variety of races, including a Kids Dash, 1 Mile Run, 5k Run (3.1 Miles), Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles), Half Marathon (13.1 miles), Volunteer then Run, and a Virtual Run. The race starts at 8 a.m. and takes participants through scenic Texas parks, celebrating life and tradition with a festive atmosphere, live music, and Mexican treats.

A costume contest is a highlight, encouraging participants to embrace the spirit of Dia de los Muertos. Bigfoot Running Company events are known for their awesome medals, cool tees, high-energy staff, and focus on participant experience.

Event Schedule:

• 6:30 AM - 7:45 AM: Packet Pickup
• 7:55 AM: Kids Dash
• 8:00 AM: National Anthem and Race Start!

Results and awards are available immediately following the finish.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers can choose to run in a specific distance (Volunteer then Run) or assist with course monitoring or aid stations, earning perks like race shirts, medals, and future race entries or gift cards.

Race Details:

• Kids Dash: Approx. 20 yards, for kids 10 and under. Not timed.
• 1 Mile Run: For all ages and experience levels. Not chipped timed.
• 5K (3.11 Miles): Chip timed, with awards for overall, masters, and age groups.
• Quarter Marathon (6.55 Miles): Chip timed, with awards for overall, masters, and age groups.
• Half Marathon (13.1 Miles): Chip timed, with awards for overall, masters, and age groups.
• Virtual Run: Participate remotely.

Note: Youth-based pricing applies for the 5k & Quarter Marathon for ages 12 & Under ($15). Participants receive a $20 refund for referring 5 others. Group discounts are available.
