Join us for the 30th annual Dean Williams Memorial 5k Run/Walk/Crawl, honoring fallen law enforcement heroes Ron Dean and Dewayne Williams, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the city of Shreveport. This event brings together Shreveport Police Officers, other law enforcement agencies, and civilians to remember and celebrate these officers, who were also supporters of Special Olympics. All funds raised are proudly donated to Special Olympics Louisiana.
The race will begin near the Veterans Memorial on the Clyde Fant Parkway, Shreveport, LA. Runners will head north on the Parkway to the Police/Fireman’s Memorial turn around and head back to the finish.
Early registration is $25.00. Prices increase to $30.00 after April 3rd and to $35.00 on race day. Every pre-registered participant will receive an Official 2026 Dean-Williams Run T-shirt, limited to the first 300 registrants.
Awards will be given to Overall Male & Female winners, as well as 1st & 2nd place age group winners (Male & Female 13-under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & up). Special Law Enforcement Awards will also be presented to Overall Male & Female and 1st & 2nd age group winners (Male & Female 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & up).
Under RRCA regulations, absolutely no baby joggers, bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, or dogs will be allowed on the course.
