About the Race & Park

Lums Pond is a State Park located in Northern Delaware, offering wonderful outdoor recreation as well as some of the most beautiful scenery Bear has to offer. Regardless if you are looking to hike, bike, walk or run, Lums Pond State Park has something for anyone looking for an outdoor adventure. We will be celebrating Delaware's beautiful trails and parks, by creating a race for trail runners of all abilities. As a special touch, this race is fully age graded, so every runner, regardless of gender or age can win the race, which we accomplish by applying a special formula, insuring an even playing field for all runners.

Distances

• 12 Hour Lone Wolf: Run as many laps as possible within the 12 hour time limit, lap is approx 7.35 Miles
• 12 Hour 4 Person Relay: Run as many laps as possible as a team within the 12 hour time limit, only 1 runner at the time, runners need to alternate
• 24KM: 2 laps around the lake
• 12KM: 1 lap around the lake

All distances are hiker friendly

Bib Pickup

• 12KM: $55 ($65 after 9/18)
• 24KM: $69 ($79 after 9/18)
• 12 Hour Lone Wolf: $99 ($115 after 9/18)
• 12 Hour 4 Person Relay: $280 for entire team ($320 after 9/18)

Refunds

Refunds will be processed up to 30 days prior to race day. No refunds or deferrals after. Refund is entry fee minus $10. Please mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to: UES c/o DETRAILFESTRF 2137 Old Lancaster Pike Reinholds, PA 17569 No refunds or deferrals within 30 days of race day. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the race due to weather, acts of God or other reasons outside of the control of Uberendurancesports. Swag & Awards

Every runner will receive a sweatshirt with logo and no ads. 12KM and 24KM finisher will also receive a custom finisher hat. 12 Hour Lone Wolf runners will receive a special award from Germany indicating their milestone mileage (26.2M/50M/100KM) Special awards for TOP 10 overall and Top 10 age/gender adjusted in 12 Hour Lone Wolf, 24KM and 12KM & Top 5 of 4 person relay team.

Time Limit

All runners must finish by 7:30PM. Cutoff to start the final look is 6:30PM (only if your lap times indicate that there is a reasonable expectation for you to finish before 7:30PM). Headlamp is required for your last loop. Your lap will not count, if you finish after 7:30PM

Aid Stations

Aid station are spaced between 3 and 4 miles apart. Main aidstation is at the Start /Finish and 2nd Aidstation is at mile 4. Trail runners usually carry a bottle to keep hydrated between aid stations. Gatorade and water will be available at all the aid stations. There will be the usual trail fare and carbs to keep you fueled at the race (bring your own gels, if you rely on them).

Timing

This race is chiptimed. Service provided by 2Lraceservices. Your bib must be visible at all times, wear on front, do not fold your bib nr, it will damage the chip.

Post Race Party

Our Trail Kitchen will open by 9:30AM and our 2 chefs will serve runners all day the till 7:30PM. Award Ceremony is estimated to start within 30 min of the last runner crossing the finish line. Please be patient, due to the extra layer of complexity by adding our age grading formula to the chip times, it might take a little longer than usual to provide the final results.

Course

The course is a mix of 70% single track, 10% gravel and 20% wider trails. The course features little elevation, a lot of flat section mixed with a few rolling trails. As of now, we will utilize Swamp Forest Trail (yellow on the map). Small adjustment might be needed to avoid wet trail sections and to get the exact distances.
