Dimboola Dash Running Festival

On APRIL 12th 2026 the inaugural Dimboola Dash Running Festival will be held on trails alongside the picturesque Wimmera River, starting from Dimboola and proceeding back and forth on a 7km trail section between Dimboola and the Lochiel Rest Area.

The event will offer a marathon and half marathon for runners, a 10km event for runners , a 10km event for walkers and a 5km walk or run option. There will also be a FREE 2km Kids' Dash. This will be a fun untimed event for U/12s.

This is a companion event to three other running festivals that organizer Brian Haddy has established in regional Victoria and NSW in recent years.

Prices are inclusive of mandatory charges, items, and fees

• Marathon: Three laps of a 7.03km trail alongside the Wimmera River. Early bird: $80.00 (Oct 10 – Mar 1). Full price: $95.00 (Mar 2 – Apr 5).
• Half Marathon: Three laps of a 7.03km trail alongside the Wimmera River. Early bird: $60.00 (Oct 10 – Mar 1). Full price: $75.00 (Mar 2 – Apr 5).
• 10km RUN: An out-and-back run on a beautiful trail alongside the Wimmera River. Early bird: $45.00 (Oct 10 – Mar 1). Full price: $55.00 (Mar 2 – Apr 5).
• 10km WALK: A leisurely out-and-back stroll on a beautiful trail next to the Wimmera River. Early bird: $45.00 (Oct 10 – Mar 1). Full price: $55.00 (Mar 2 – Apr 5).
• 5km run or walk: An out-and-back run or walk on a beatiful trail alongside the Wimmera River. Early bird: $20.00 (Oct 10 – Mar 1). Full price: $25.00 (Mar 2 – Apr 5).
• 2km Kids' Dash: An untimed, fun event for U/12s. Free.
