The EXPO 10K/5K is more than a race: It's Knoxville's oldest and most beloved community running event. 2026 will mark the 49th running of this annual event. The Expo is truly a Knoxville tradition. It is the only local race that celebrates the family by having mother/son, mother/daughter, father/son, father/daughter, wife/husband, and three generations categories.

Time: Kid's Mile - 7:00 a.m. / 10k & 5k - 7:30 a.m.

What's Included:

  • Race T-Shirt: Everyone registered before Monday, May 11 is guaranteed a high-quality, soft-feel t-shirt. The shirt is unisex in sizing.
  • Post Race: Snacks, Gatorade, water, and community.
  • Awards: 5k awards at 8:25, 10 k awards at 9:15
  • Race Photos: Complimentary race photo downloads.
  • Results: Text notifications of finish time, or visit this page and click "Results" to see your time and placement. You'll also be able to print or download your finisher's certificate.

Course Time Limits: Participants must be able to finish the 10K in one hour and forty minutes after the last runner starts. 10K course closes at 9:15

Registration & Entry Fee (NO REFUNDS AND NO BIB TRANSFERS):

  • Jan 25th-May 19th: 10K-$40; 5K-$30; Kid's Mile-$10
  • Late Registration: May 20th-May 25th: 10K-$45; 5K-$35; Kid's Mile- $10
  • Race Day Registration: 10K-$50; 5K-$40; Kid's Mile-$15

Packet Pick up Information:

  • Saturday May 25th, Crafty Bastard 6:00am-7:15am
  • Early Packet Pickup - Thursday, May 23 - 5:00pm-7:00pm, Runners Market.

Awards: Awards to the top 3 Overall, age groups, and specialty categories. Top Masters, Grandmasters, Senior Grandmasters male and female. Age divisions begin with 14 and under, then 5 year increments. Overall winners are not eligible for age division awards. Awards to the top specialty teams in the following categories Mother/Son, Mother/Daughter, Father/Son, Father/Daughter, Husband/Wife, and Three Generations.

Grand Prix Points Team Competition: The Expo 10k/5k is on the 2025 Team Competition schedule. 2025 Grand Prix Points awarded winners in various categories and age groups. Points accumulate throughout the year. KTC recognizes the top 10 men and women in the Grand Prix series at the New Year’s Day 5K on January 1, 2026. Remember, to be eligible for Grand Prix Points, participants must be a member of KTC and must volunteer for at least 3 KTC races throughout the year.

Race Etiquette: Due to insurance regulations, roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course. Headphones are always discouraged in KTC events.
