Fire Tower Trail Races

Welcome!

Fire Tower Trail Races exist to help you achieve your goals in a safe, welcoming, and accessible running event! We have generous cut offs, a flat course, food, camping, and welcoming smiles. If you’re new to trail running or you’ve been around and looking for a small, old-school style, event Fire Tower is for you. Come experience beautiful St. Croix State Park and the scenic Kettle River valley. The Fire Tower Trail Races will take you on an adventure through forests, along rivers, and through beautiful prairie as you complete one of four distances: 100K, 50K, 35K, 11K. When you choose to conquer the 50K or longer, you will test your stamina as you climb to the top of the historic fire tower mid-run (twice in the 100K) (Oh, and we’ll have a “vertigo option” for folks that can’t climb the tower all the way!). Discover Minnesota’s largest State Park and see what you can do!

Fire Tower is a part of the UMTR race series! Come join in the fun and help support trail running in the upper midwest!
