The First Responders 5K recognizes the strength, perseverance, and courage of Police Officers, Firefighters, EMTs, 911 Operators and their families in our local community. First Responders put their lives on the line for us every day as they face hardships that most of us will never know. The repetitive negative experience of stressful and potentially traumatic events that First Responders face on a daily basis leaves them particularly vulnerable to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. We hope that this event can raise awareness for PTSD in First Responders, and raise funds for FRST Agency, local charity that will provide support, awareness, assets, and services to First Responders seeking assistance in dealing with the effects of PTSD. Join us as we recognize the service and sacrifice of the people who dedicate their lives to protecting ours. A portion of proceeds, as well as 100% of additional donations, will be donated to the FRST Agency .

There is no on-site registration. Please plan accordingly.

By registering for this event you are acknowledging that the date, time, location, and distance of the race may be changed, switched to virtual, or canceled at any time as deemed necessary by the Race Directors due to circumstances beyond their control. In the event that any of these scenarios happens or any other, there will be no refunds, transfers, or deferrals allowed unless otherwise stated.

Join a Team

Create a team to race with! Join your family, your friends, or fellow first responders! NEW THIS YEAR - prize for the fastest first responder department! Are you a first responder running with other members of your local department? Create or join a team together when you register and compete to see who's the fastest squad in the greater Rochester area! Top 3 fastest times per team will be combined, and the fastest of those combined times wins. Teams are all co-ed and have no limits on the number of members, so sign up the whole squad! YOU MUST BE AN ACTIVE FIRST RESPONDER and register under the ACTIVE first responder pricing in order to join a department team. Non-first responders can create a friends & family team to run together and support the cause. Only First Responder Department teams will be scored.

Awards Distribution at 7:45PM by the post race food area

This event is part of the 9-Race Fleet Feet Grand Prix Series Presented by HOKA . Eligible participants compete for over $15,000 in cash prizes and HOKA footwear throughout the series. No registration necessary.

Award to fastest in full uniform/gear (EMS, Fire, Police)

Top 3 Overall Male and Female: Cash Prizes 1st - $200, 2nd - $100, 3rd - $75

Age Group Awards to Top 3 place Male/Female in 5 year age groups (19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & up)

Note: All Cash Award winners Must Fill out the provided 1099 Form in order to receive the cash prize in the form of a check mailed to the address on the 1099 Form. There will be a deadline for each race as to when the form must be returned in order to receive the cash prize.
