For the Love of a Paw 5K Benefit

The For the Love of a Paw 5K Benefit is a charity race sponsored by Lake Marion Golf Course and Santee Cooper Country Club Golf. The event aims to raise funds for For the Love of a Paw, a 501(c)3 animal rescue organization.

For the Love of a Paw is dedicated to effectively managing the domestic animal population in Orangeburg and Calhoun Counties through various initiatives such as education, rescue, TNR (trap, neuter, and release), and owner services. The organization was founded in April 2016 after it was discovered that a significant number of cats and kittens taken in by animal control were being euthanized.

Last year alone, For the Love of a Paw successfully placed 175 cats and kittens and 27 dogs into loving homes. However, the population of stray animals continues to grow, and they are in desperate need of help.

By participating in the For the Love of a Paw 5K Benefit, you can make a difference in the lives of these animals. The race will take place on October 10 at the Santee Cooper Country Club. The course is a scenic 5K route that promises a great running experience.
