Forbidden Run Fest - November 8, 2026

Celebrate Philadelphia's Wissahickon Valley Park by running the Forbidden Run Fest. The park is over 2000 acres and features more than 50 miles of trails, including the famous Forbidden Drive Trail, which was awarded PA Trail of the Year in 2018. The 5.45-mile Forbidden Drive Trail has a smooth gravel surface, making it ideal for runners accustomed to pavement, and offers an immersive nature experience. The race includes trail sections to keep it interesting for trail runners.

This race is limited to 750 runners. Registration closes on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.

• 10 KM
• 10 Miles
• Half Marathon+ (approximately 14 miles)

Bib Pickup:

There will be no expo. Bibs and swag will be available for pickup on race day only, starting at 8:00 AM at the Start/Finish area, approximately located at Houston Playground, 900 Grakyn Ln, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19128.

Start Times:

• Half Marathon+: 9:00 AM
• 10 Miler: 9:15 AM
• 10 KM: 9:30 AM

Fees:

• 10 KM: $55 till 6/30/26, $59 till 9/30/26, $65 after
• 10 Miler: $65 till 6/30/26, $69 till 9/30/26, $75 after
• Half Marathon+: $75 till 6/30/26, $79 till 9/30/26, $85 after

Refunds:

Refunds will be processed up to 30 days prior to race day. No refunds or deferrals after that date. Refunds are the entry fee minus $10. Please mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to: UES c/o ForbiddenRF 2137 Old Lancaster Pike Reinholds, PA 17569. The organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the race due to weather, acts of God, or other reasons outside of their control.

Awards & Swag:

Every runner will receive a Philadelphia-themed finisher award (to be determined) and a race shirt without advertising. Trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 overall finishers and the Top 3 in each age group (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+).

Time Limit:

All runners must finish by 1:00 PM, making all distances hiker-friendly.

Water Stops:

Aid stations are spaced 2-3 miles apart. The 10 KM has 1 stop, the 10 Miler has 3 stops, and the Half Marathon+ has 4 stops. Gatorade and water will be available. Runners are recommended to carry their own bottles.

Timing:

The race is chip-timed. Top 3 overall will be determined by gun time, while age group awards are determined by chip time. Live results will be posted at www.2Lraceservices.com.

Post Race Party:

An award ceremony, live music, and pizza party will be held at the finish line.

Course Details:

The courses are designed to introduce new and road runners to trail running, with generous time limits allowing for power hiking. The entire course is within Wissahickon Park. The 13.1 course features approximately 5 miles of dirt trails and 8 miles of gravel trail on Forbidden Drive.
