Race Details

Location: At Tickfaw State park, you can go night hiking or listen to the swamp nightlife from the porch of your vacation cabin. Check at the Nature Center for scheduled programs. While there, view the 800-gallon aquarium stocked with fish found in the Tickfaw River. There are also displays featuring the animals, history and culture of the area and of Louisiana. Strolling through four ecosystems on over a mile of boardwalks through Tickfaw State Park, visitors can experience the sights and sounds of a cypress/tupelo swamp, a bottomland hardwood forest, a mixed pine/hardwood forest and the Tickfaw River.

Course

River Trail will be a 3 mile trail loop. You will run along the river. Poisonous snakes and alligators will be on or around the trail, so be fully aware that we have a lot of creatures out there. We will have two aid stations halfway point will be an unman aid station with water, electrolytes, snacks, and ice. The main aid station will be at start finish and it will have ice electrolyte water, soda, snacks, and fully cooked food.

Lodging

TickFaw State Park has many options: 30 Improved Campsites, 20 Unimproved Campsites. Cabins/Group Camp: Basic cookware, cooking utensils, dinnerware, silverware, towels and linens are provided. Bring your own food and personal supplies; group camp visitors will also need to bring their own dishes, silverware, towels and linens.

Start Times and Cutoffs

• 150 Miler & 102 Miler - December 11 at 6am. 54 hour cutoff
• 75 Miler, 51 Miler, & 33 Miler - December 12 at 6am. 30 hour cutoff
• 15 Miler, 6 Miler, and 3 Miler - December 13 at 6am. 6 hour cutoff

Race Day Food

Start/Finish: Bacon, PB&J, Chips, Cookies, Quesadilla, Grill Cheese Sandwich, Pickles, Candy, Crackers, Potatoes, Gummies, Soda of all kinds, Water, Ice, & Electrolytes. Vegan options. Finish Meals TBD.
