Race #2 of the Winter Wild Thangs Trail Series

This is a "cupless race." You must have a hand held bottle, pack or reusable cup. A RunningLane reusable cup can be purchased for $5.

This series is designed for both new and experienced trail runners. There are 3 races total in the series with both short and long race distances. Starting in late December and finishing in January, these 3 races are designed to be competitive, help runners increase their race distances through the winter months, and most of all be a ton of fun.

These courses have several bluff views with beautiful mountain scenery as well as creek crossings, water falls and more. Several aid stations will be provided on the course.

All participants will have delicious Marco's Pizza waiting for them at the finish line of each race!

Winter Wild Thangs Trail Series:

• December 20th, 2025 - Frozen Yeti: 5 Mile, 10 Mile
• January 3rd, 2026 - Frozen Trash Panda: 10K, Half Marathon
• January 17th, 2026 - Frozen Goat: 15K, 30K

Registration

The race is capped at 400 runners. All runners who sign up for the Frozen Trash Panda 10K & 1/2 Marathon will receive a t-shirt and finisher award. The t-shirt is the same shirt for the entire series.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be at the RunningLane Store on Friday January 2nd from 12-5pm. RunningLane is located at 2407 Memorial Parkway SW Suite 1, Huntsville, AL 35801. Packets may also be picked up the morning of the race from 7:00am - 7:45am.

Shirts, Awards, Weather & Cutoffs

The race shirt will be a short sleeve tri-blend shirt. Age groups will be: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ for ALL races.

Average Temperatures throughout the winter for Huntsville: Low 25F-35F, High: 45F-55F

There will be a 17 minute/ mile cutoff for Long Series participants.

There are no refunds, deferrals, credits or friend / family transfers on entries.
