General Lewis W. Walt Detachment – Marine Corps League 5k

Join us at beautiful Lake Shawnee in Topeka, Kansas for a day of fitness, fun, and community support at the 5K/10K Walk & Run benefiting the General Lewis W. Walt Detachment of the Marine Corps League. This family-friendly event invites runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the scenic lake trails while supporting a great cause.

Proceeds will directly benefit the General Lewis W. Walt Detachment, helping us continue our mission of supporting Marines, veterans, and their families right here in Kansas. Funds raised will also aid our community programs, including scholarships for high school seniors, Toys for Tots, and local volunteer initiatives such as highway clean-ups and youth engagement.

Participants can choose between the 5K course or the 10K course, both designed to highlight the natural beauty of Lake Shawnee’s shoreline and park trails. All registered participants will receive an official event t-shirt, with awards for top finishers in multiple age groups.
