THE RACE

GRAVEYARD GALLOP 5K! “IT’S A GRAVEYARD SMASH FOR CHARITY CASH!” Come get spooked and help support the Grissettown Volunteer Fire Department all at the same time! Join the SOHO Running Club for a 5k road race featuring costumed volunteers along the course and at the water stop! Then, stay for concessions prepared by the firemen of District 31 and get $5.00 off into their well known Haunted Trail at 7pm! Guaranteed to be a scary-fun evening for all! Proceeds will go directly to District 31 Firestation.

THE CAUSE

The race is being put on to help raise money for the Grissettown Volunteer Fire Department: District 31. Money raised will help the department provide expediate services to local residents by helping fund life saving equipment.

THE SWAG

RACE SHIRT: Participants will receive a guaranteed size if you register before September 14th.
FINISHER MEDAL: Finishers will receive a medal at the finish line.

5K AWARDS: Cash to Top 3 Overall Males and Females, Cash to Top 3 Masters (40+) Males and Females, Gift Card to Top Grand Master (50+) Male and Female. Top 3 Male & Female in the following age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

RACE DAY SCHEDULE:

Packet Pickup Saturday 2:30 - 3:30 near start line.
Race Start Time 4:00pm

FIRE DEPARTMENT WILL HAVE CONCESSIONS. RUNNERS GET $5.00 OFF ENTRY TO THE HAUNTED TRAIL WITH THEIR BIBS.

5K COURSE MAP:

5K COURSE; 1 WATER STOP ON COURSE; RUNNERS & WALKERS WELCOME. Map to be posted soon!

T-shirts guaranteed for those who register on or before SEPT 14 at midnight. SHIRT SIZES: Adult - XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL

5K REGISTRATION:

Early Registration Price $35.00 until Sept 14 at midnight
Late Registration Price $40.00 Sept 15-Oct 16 at midnight
Day of Race Price $45.00

PACKET PICKUP LOCATION AND TIME:

All runners will check in prior to the race on Saturday 2:30 - 3:30 near start line.

EVENT SPECIAL NOTES:

NO STROLLERS OR PETS ON THE COURSE. MUSIC AT THEIR OWN DISCRETION. AMPLE PARKING. PLEASE USE DESIGNATED PARKING AREA.
